🌟 Celebrating Our Paraprofessionals: Lewis Howard & Sandra Lopez
In honor of Paraprofessional Appreciation Day on April 1, 2026 Northumberland High School is proud to take a moment to shine a spotlight on two individuals who serve as the backbone of our classrooms and the heart of our student support system: Lewis Howard and Sandra Lopez.
Paraprofessionals do more than just assist; they mentor, encourage, and bridge the gap for students who need that extra spark to succeed. Whether it’s providing one-on-one instructional support, managing classroom dynamics, or offering a kind word in the hallway, their impact is immeasurable.
Thank you, Lewis and Sandra, for everything you do for the Indians! 🛡️✨
Honoring Cynthia Clark at Northumberland High School
In Honor of National School Librarian Day celebrated on April 4, 2026, we pause to celebrate our very own Cynthia Clark for her dedicated service to the students and staff of Northumberland High School. A school library is only as vibrant as the person who leads it. Cynthia Clark doesn’t just manage a collection; she fosters a sanctuary for curiosity. Whether she is helping a student find the perfect source for a research paper, troubleshooting tech issues, or recommending that one "life-changing" novel, her impact is felt across every classroom.
"A great librarian is a powerful search engine with a heart. Thank you, Ms. Clark, for being the navigator who helps our students find their way through the sea of information every single day."
Cynthia, thank you for all you do to make Northumberland High School a brighter, more informed place. Happy National School Librarian Day!

We’d like to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to someone who keeps our school running smoothly every single day: Custodian, Michael Jones. Whether he’s keeping our hallways clear, making sure the cafeteria is ready for lunch, or offering a helping hand to students between classes, Mike does it all with a smile. We are so lucky to have you on our team, Mike. Thank you for everything you do to make NHS a better place!"
The competition was intense. Jesse Jensen and Deanna Mothershead were the winning team, their bridge surviving the 50-pound kettlebell, finally breaking at 60 pounds!
