Mission Accomplished: Celebrating Our JROTC Cadets!
What an incredible evening for the Northumberland Middle/High School JROTC program!
The JROTC just wrapped up their annual awards ceremony, and "proud" doesn't even begin to cover it. It was truly inspiring to see our cadets recognized for their discipline, leadership, and hard work throughout the year. From academic excellence to superior physical fitness and community service, these students are proving that the future is in very capable hands.
To our cadets: Your uniforms looked sharp, but your character shone even brighter. Whether you took home a medal today or supported your fellow cadets from the ranks, your commitment to excellence is what makes this program great.
Thank you to our dedicated Instructors, SGT. Derrick Lemon and Major Francisco Gonzalez-Rodriguez for their mentorship, the parents and families who support these students every step of the way, and our local community for always standing behind our students.
Let's give a Shout Out to the incredible Cafeteria Staff at Northumberland MS/HS!
From the early morning prep to the busy lunch rush, our School Lunch Heroes do so much more than just serve meals. They provide a friendly smile, a nourishing bite, and a steady heart for our students every single day. We appreciate everything you do to keep our community healthy and happy.

Chemistry students ground and sifted the grains, carefully measured and mixed the ingredients, cooked, pelletized, and dried the mash. Finally, the tilapia got to try the homemade food! Next year's Aquaculture and Chemistry classes will continue the project, which stresses the importance of using the abundant feedstocks right in our backyard!
We are excited to invite you to a 3 Day Fine Arts Festival , April 28-30, featuring a celebration of K-12 student artwork and musical performances. Check out the flyer for more details.
