Good Afternoon Student Families and Community Members of Northumberland County!
We want to thank you on behalf of our faculty and staff for a successful start to the new school year.
We also want to express our gratitude to all our parents and the entire community for your support during the first week of school and for the generous donations of school supplies from our community during our fill-the-bus.. A special thank you also to Callao Moose Lodge for their large donation of school supplies for our students. Your support makes a real difference!
We are also excited to announce the release of a survey for our student families and community members designed to help us develop goals for the school division. Your feedback is crucial in this process. The survey is anonymous and is available to all student families and community members. Please complete the survey by September 15, 2025. A student-specific survey will come out in the coming months.

This year, Northumberland County Public Schools kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with a series of successful "Back to School" events, demonstrating a strong sense of community.
The back-to-school season began with a New Teachers and Staff Orientation, welcoming new educators to the division. We are fortunate to have such an amazing group of teachers and staff. The community's generosity was on full display with the "Pack the Bus" and other local school supply drives, ensuring students are well-equipped for success. These events were followed by Convocation and Open House sessions at each school, providing an opportunity for students and families to meet teachers, tour classrooms, and prepare for a successful year of learning. The success of the Open House was sweetened by the contributions of local food vendors. A special shout-out is due to "Klassy Khef" for providing delicious food and to "Kake Craze" for their delightful cakes, which were enjoyed by all staff and families in attendance. The coordinated effort from new teacher training to community supply drives and open houses reflects the school division's commitment to building a strong foundation for the year ahead. Thank you, community, teachers, staff, students, and families! WE ARE READY FOR A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!
