
The
Business Program offerings are designed to meet two widely recognized goals:

Attainment of business skills and knowledge,
including career exploration and;
·
Preparation for entering business occupations
and for pursing additional education.
The
Business Program is based on a foundation of keyboarding and word processing
skills along with courses in accounting, business and marketing, and office
administration. Students not only
receive instruction in fundamental skills but also learn essential life
management skills.
Enrollment in the program will
enable students to explore opportunities in business, prepare them for entry
level and advancement on the job, develop management skills, and identify
further education and training necessary within a chosen career path.
Completer requirements for a
regular business program are as follows:

Keyboarding prerequisite: Students may successfully complete an
approved keyboarding course or, if they can demonstrate touch keyboarding
skills, may test out to the teacher’s approval (competencies must be
documented).
·
Any two occupational courses must be taken.
